RecRam Magnet WordPress Plugin Installation Guide

This guide will walk you through installing and configuring the RecRam Magnet WordPress plugin for your website. Follow these simple steps to integrate RecRam Magnet functionality into your WordPress site.

Prerequisites

  • An active RecRam account with Magnet feature enabled
  • Administrative access to your WordPress website
  • Access to the RecRam dashboard
  • WordPress Magnet Plugin

Step 1: Download and Install the Plugin

  1. Download the RecRam Magnet WordPress plugin from our official plugin Download
  2. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
  3. Navigate to Plugins > Add New
  4. Click the Upload Plugin button at the top of the page
  5. Choose the downloaded RecRam Magnet plugin file
  6. Click Install Now
  7. After installation completes, click Activate Plugin

Step 2: Locate Your RecRam Magnet ID

  1. Log in to your RecRam dashboard
  2. Navigate to the Magnet menu
  3. Find your desired Magnet group
  4. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the Magnet group
  5. Select Script Code from the dropdown menu
  6. In the popup window, locate the code snippet that looks like: javascriptCopyRecram.init(`676c5a123432507e0e71d5c9`)
  7. Copy only the ID between the backticks (in this example: 676c5a123432507e0e71d5c9)

Step 3: Configure the Plugin

  1. In your WordPress admin dashboard, go to Settings > RecRam Magnet
  2. In the configuration panel, you’ll see the following options:
    • Enable/Disable toggle: Switch to activate or deactivate the Magnet feature
    • RecRam Magnet ID: Where you’ll paste your Magnet ID
    • Script Location: Choose between header (recommended) or footer placement
  3. Paste your copied Magnet ID into the RecRam Magnet ID field
  4. Select your preferred script location
  5. Click Save Changes to apply your settings

Step 4: Verify Installation

  1. Visit your website’s frontend
  2. Check that the RecRam Magnet widget appears as configured in your RecRam dashboard
  3. Test the widget’s functionality to ensure it’s working correctly

Troubleshooting

If you don’t see the Magnet widget on your site:

  • Verify that the plugin is activated
  • Confirm that the correct Magnet ID is entered
  • Check that the Enable/Disable toggle is set to “Enabled”
  • Clear your website’s cache if you’re using a caching plugin

Important Notes

  • Keep your RecRam Magnet ID secure and don’t share it publicly
  • The plugin automatically updates the widget when you make changes in your RecRam dashboard
  • You can temporarily disable the widget using the Enable/Disable toggle without removing the configuration
